I'll be brief on this subject. It seems that our mass media is once again, against Israel and the American position. Here's some facts:
1- Israel has a right to defend herself, Kofi "cake" Annan has said so in his speech yesterday, but the evening news conveniently glossed over that last night.
2- Israel is always on the defensive, because they never start these things. How much bombing and terrorist action are they expected to take?
3- Israel has the right to exist, because of the U.N. Mandate in 1948, and because God says so. If God says it, You'd better believe he means business. Remember "Your arms are too short to box with God", so you better take heed and not go against his plan. Have pity on those who think they can.
As an observer, I do see a problem with Israel concentrating all it's efforts on Lebanon, when Lebanon is simply being used as a patsy by Syria and Iran. Both Syria and Iran are supplying Hezbola with the weaponry they use. So why not strike the source then? Wouldn't that be more logical? Rather than trying to sand off the toenails of the alligator, why not just whack it's head off in one clean blow?
If America would just join Israel and finish the job, taking out Syria and Iran, the terrorism in this world would greatly decrease I think. Then bulldoze the place and make more parking for the holy land. And let's not forget the funding source, Saudi Arabia.. Let's take them out last, make then sweat it out, just to scare the sheets off them.
But don't think that this solution will drop the oil prices any.. The oil companies will just find other lame-ass excuses to raise the prices.
